Terms of Service

1. About the service
These terms apply to the use of The Between's website and services, including a Commerce Commons subscription, events (Boardroom for Commerce, After Commerce) and related digital resources. The service is operated by The Between, based in Sweden.
2. Account
- You can create an account with email and password, or via Google or Discord (OAuth).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
3. Commerce Commons subscription
- A subscription gives access to the Commerce Commons Discord co-office.
- Payment is processed via Stripe by credit or debit card.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time via My Account. Access continues until the end of the paid period – no refunds for the current paid period.
- In the event of failed payment, access is paused until the payment is resolved.
- Upon cancellation, Discord access to the Commerce Commons server will end.
4. Events
- Boardroom for Commerce: Attendance is by invitation only. Chatham House rules apply – what is said in the room stays in the room.
- After Commerce: Free and open to all. No registration required unless otherwise stated.
- Discord co-office: Available to active subscribers.
5. Newsletter and email communication
- By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to receiving updates from The Between.
- You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any mailing or by contacting info@thebetween.se.
- Transactional emails (confirmations, receipts) are sent regardless of subscription status.
6. Code of conduct
- Treat other participants with respect regardless of background, experience level or role.
- Contribute to an open and inclusive atmosphere.
- Respect Chatham House rules at Boardroom for Commerce events.
- Do not share member-exclusive material outside the community.
- Advertising, spam and unsolicited pitches are not permitted.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the website – texts, logotypes, trademarks and design – belongs to The Between or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use the content commercially without written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
Services are provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Between is not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from use of the service.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, you will be notified by email or on the website. Continued use after a notified change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall in the first instance be resolved by mutual agreement. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the Stockholm District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. The Between Dialogue AI assistant
- The Between Dialogue is an AI system powered by Anthropic Claude – not a human. Responses may contain inaccuracies.
- Responses from The Between Dialogue do not constitute professional, legal, financial or medical advice.
- Do not share sensitive personal data, passwords or confidential information in the chat.
- The service is subject to rate limiting – a restricted number of messages per time window to ensure availability.
